Problems Receiving Power Poll Email

There are a couple of common reasons why you may not be receiving Power Poll email.

Check your spam folder

Your email is likely in your spam or junk folder, especially if you receive some Power Poll emails, but not all of them. To prevent this from happening in the future:

  • Flag the email in question as "not junk."
  • Whitelist email coming from *.powerpoll.com.

Your account is no longer active

If you don't engage with Power Poll (view an email, view a survey or article, sign in, etc.) for a certain amount of time, your account becomes inactive and you will stop receiving Power Poll communication.  To reactivate your account:

  1. Sign into the Member Dashboard. See Signing into Power Poll for more information.

Your email address is invalid

If email that we send to you bounces back (either a hard bounce or too many soft bounces), we consider your email address invalid and will stop trying to send you email.  To revalidate your email:

  1. Sign into the Member Dashboard. See Signing into Power Poll for more information.  The act of signing into the dashboard will automatically flag your email address as valid.  However, if it bounces again (or returns too many soft bounces), it may become invalid again in the future.

Check your subscription settings

If you have unsubscribed, we will not try to email you again.  To resubscribe:

  1. Sign into the Member Dashboard. See Signing into Power Poll for more information.
  2. Review your subscription preferences.

Send yourself a test email

You can send yourself a test email from the Power Poll platform, then troubleshoot the issue on your end.  To send yourself a test email:

  1. Sign into the Member Dashboard. See Signing into Power Poll for more information.
  2. Click here to view the Email Test Utility.

Try a different email address

Some email servers (particularly corporate servers) will simply block Power Poll email.  You can try using a different email address from a different domain.  To set this:

  1. Sign into the Member Dashboard. See Signing into Power Poll for more information.
  2. Click "My Account."
  3. Set your email address.
  4. Save any changes.

Consider getting text alerts

You can get notices about Power Poll survey, events, and other activities via text.  You can adjust your subscription preferences to enable text alerts.
