About Power Poll

Power Poll is a non-partisan survey, news, and information company focussed on the thoughts, opinions, and beliefs of influential and powerful people. Once a month, we survey our communities on pertinent local and national topics through our platform. Then we publish the results. Vigorous discussion among members ensues. Problems are explored. Solutions discussed.

Power Poll is operational in 26 U.S. cities and rapidly growing. It aspires to roll out city polls in the top 300 U.S. cities. Power Poll works with knowledgeable journalists (both freelance and active newspaper reporters) to help develop the member lists, write our monthly Power Poll survey questions, and summarize the results in well-crafted news stories. Power Poll revenue comes from paid sponsorships. Companies very much want to be associated with Power Poll’s blue-chip audience. Sponsored poll questions (in which questions can be asked of our audience for a fee) have also generated revenue.

Power Poll is committed to becoming an influential company targeting the nation’s leading citizens who shape the discussion of the world in which we live. Power Poll members run our cities, our states, and our country. Here, we know what they’re thinking.

Our History

Our Story is Short, but Powerful

Power Poll launches in Nashville, in April. In its first survey, some 500 important Nashvillians area informed by email that by virtue of their standing in the city, they have been named a member of the Power Poll. They are asked whom they supported in an ongoing mayor's race.

Over 50% of Power Poll members respond.

Organically and virally, it explodes. Members of Power Poll begin to suggest others to include in the list.

2017 - 2018

From Nashville’s billionaires to its grassroots activists, the list of members grows. Power Poll decides to expand beyond Nashville and construction of a more robust platform begins. In September, 2018, Power Poll launches in Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga. Scalability is proven. Surveys are regularly conducted every month.

2019 - 2020

Power Poll launches in 16 additional cities. Daily newspapers, business publications, digital only news organizations, and other media groups begin to partner with Power Poll or re-publish Power Poll results.

2021 and Beyond
