Privacy

June 1, 2018

Introduction

Our privacy policy is simple and written in plain English. We think this is how it should be and hope you do too. If you have any questions, just ask us: privacy@powerpoll.com.

Cookies

Our site uses HTTP cookies to maintain sessions (handling of the pages that you must sign in to access) and tokens (a key that is used for the site to function, like pulling articles from other servers in our infrastructure). You can turn them off in your browser, but then most of our site would not work. Power Poll cookies do not track you in any way, shape, or form.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We collect and store your email address, name, and other publicly-available information (as shown on the Member Lists). If you participate in surveys, obviously that data is transmitted to us, securely, as well. We go to tremendous lengths to anonymize the survey data. For example, you'll notice that the links from survey emails include unique random strings and do not include anything that can be linked to you. The bottom line is: We will never sell any of your personal data to anyone. Period.

Your Control Over Information

You can unsubscribe and opt-out at anytime. Just click the link at the bottom of any of our emails. There is no "It may take two weeks to unsubscribe you." garbage; the effect is immediate: you are unsubscribed.

Security

All of this data is stored in our custom-tailored infrastructure, which has been designed and built using industry best-practices for security and reliability. All browser traffic is encrypted. Internally, our databases are encrypted and secured to the fullest extent possible and internally, we limit access to your data to the smallest group of personnel possible. Even the editor of your area(s) cannot access most of your information. We guard your data as if our entire company is at risk, because it is.
