Allen Matthews

Allen Matthews is a veteran Bay Area journalist. He began his career at the Daily Californian while attending UC Berkeley. He worked at the San Francisco Chronicle from 1990-2016, retiring as deputy managing editor. He has served on the boards of the California News Publishers Association, the California Press Foundation, the Chronicle's Season of Sharing Fund, and the Daily Californian.
