Drew Broach

Drew Broach has reported, written and edited news in the New Orleans area for four decades, mostly at The Times-Picayune, where he navigated that outlet’s multimedia digital transformation and led teams that won 14 journalism awards in seven years from peer-review organizations. He’s covered garden clubs and quadruple homicides, demographic trends and deadly hurricanes, religion and recidivism, cyanide plants and suburban redevelopment, among other subjects. He retired in 2024 as deputy metro editor of The Times-Picayune.
