Richard Webner

Richard Webner did his first reporting in San Antonio as an intern for the Express-News during the summer of 2013. Upon graduating from the University of Missouri with a master's degree in journalism, he joined the newspaper as a business reporter in 2015. Later, he was moved to the real estate and economic development beat, where he wrote about efforts by the local government to promote affordable housing and growth in the urban core. He now works as a freelancer in Austin, but he still reports mostly on San Antonio, which is a (not so) short drive down Interstate 35.
